Joe Tison

Personal CFO, MBA

Joe Tison was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida, he spent four years addressing complex environmental challenges across the state. Joe played a key role in investigating and mitigating contamination from petroleum and industrial solvents, specializing in Modified Active Gas Sampling and Soil Vapor Extraction system design, installation, and operation. He was also involved in early assessments of emerging contaminants like PFAS (“forever chemicals”), evaluating their impact on groundwater and soil systems.

Joe made a career switch to the financial services industry after developing a passion for finance during his MBA studies at the University of South Florida. He gained extensive experience at several leading financial institutions, working with a variety of clients to navigate complex financial situations. Joe now specializes in guiding business owners through the complexities of exiting their businesses. He tailors strategies to address the unique challenges of the exit process and the opportunities that arise in the post-exit phase, helping clients navigate this pivotal stage with confidence and clarity.

In addition, Joe enjoys working with retirees, helping them create sustainable income plans and providing clarity around their financial futures. His thoughtful approach ensures retirees can feel confident and secure as they enjoy the rewards of their hard work.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Toni, and their dog, Samantha. An avid outdoorsman, he is passionate about hunting, fishing, and wildlife/natural land conservation.
