David Maaskant is a Certified Public Accountant that earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and Master of Business Administration in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University. David comes to Tampa with 16 years of public accounting experience and leadership qualities as a partner in a large regional CPA firm. He is also a member of the International Exit Planning Association (IEPA) making him the perfect addition to the Questmont VFO team.
During his time as a partner with a CPA firm, David specialized in business valuation, transaction advisory and exit planning strategies; making the niche’ department one of the fastest growing divisions in the firm. His community involvement includes participating in the Smeal College of Business mentor program at the Pennsylvania State University and serving on the Business Development Committee of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
Personally, David lives in Lutz, FL with his wife Laurie and two sons, Rhys and Dempsey. The family enjoys many trips to Walt Disney World and beach activities which made a move to Tampa Florida very desirable. David also enjoys flying small aircraft and is working towards his private pilot’s license.
